Javea / Xàbia has throughout the year a mild, pleasant climate. The mountain Montgo protect this part of Spain against continental cold in the winter, while the sea usually relies eastern wind, which in the hot summer months often works wonderfully refreshing. Because of this Javea / Xàbia has one of the most pleasant forms of microclimate. The temperature measured over the whole year, is between 17º and 22º degrees. Distributed over the months of the year, this means before January: 12º, february: 11º, march: 13º, april: 16º, may: 18º, june 22º, july: 26º, august: 26º, september: 23º, october: 19º, november : 15º and in December an average temperature of 13º.
Green is the dominating color of the landscape, even though you would, coming from Alicante, maybe not expect instant. However, when you have left on your drive to one of our villas the tourist resort of Benidorm with its skyscrapers, once behind, you can see the landscape become greener
Generally short stormy and heavy downpours occur particularly in the months of September, October and December. These are typical Mediterranean storms which are locally known under the name of “gota fria” (cold drop).
